After waiting for about three years, the St. Xavier College have now become the first college school in Mumbai University that obtains an autonomous status that been granted through this University Grants Commission or well known as the UGC for about five years from their educational academic year 2010-2011. With this autonomous condition, the school college will now able of formulating the governing bodies, board of studies, the academic bodies, board of educational studies and examination controller for their own without any interference from their school university. Furthermore, this St. Xavier College will now have a fuller educational academic freedom upon framing up their syllabus. St. Xavier College for applied UGC got an autonomous condition in the month of October 2007. Now, during the time they will attaining it they will entirely be setting up as to implement this plans.

Fr. Frazer Mascarenhas who is the current principal that this UGC’s permission towards autonomous condition had entirely came as to entirely prepare for a newer academic year abroad. Meanwhile, the college of national excellence already got a potential aspect upon reaching out this international level. With that, this current format does not entirely allow to become even more compatible with their respective foreign standards especially that they been waiting some mere changes. He also added that their educational facility will currently enable of deciding this syllabi and examination of their own especially that they have taken on some risks and ensure of paying it off. With that, they got some plans of setting up educational programmes with their respective foreign school universities such as Harvard and New York University. School College had also planning of introducing credit system and semester system as to create compatible foreign school universities. For an instance, the science leaner entirely needs to have art perspective as component norm in various universities abroad. Aside of that, they have also formulated this continuous evaluation processes that will entirely test the learners memory in end of three years for their educational degree that been done in this current evaluation processes.
